Cleanup : * Sport governing body (this should-be-major article is in a shameful state) * Field hockey (History section needs sources and accurate information - very vague at the moment.) * Standardize Category:American college sports infobox templates to use same font size and spacing. * Sport in the United Kingdom - the Popularity section is incorrect and unsourced. Reliable data is required.
* Fix project template and/or "to do list" Current version causes tables of content to be hidden unless/until reader chooses "show."
This article used to give the date of first publication for The Sporting Magazine as 1793. The first monthly issue, however, is dated October 1792. The frontispiece shows a date of 1793, but this is the date of publication of the first bound volume encompassing the first six monthly issues, presumably published sometime in Spring 1793. The publication of monthly issues, however, would appear to have started in 1792. I've attached a link to the first bound volume and another link to the archive of issues at Hathi Trust.
