Inaccuracy in plot description.[edit]

The description on this page has Burgess Meredith ("the Dolphin") depicted as "an American CIA agent and James Joyce scholar." This is incorrect. That character is Leo Zimmerman, played by Jack MacGowran. Some online descriptions even say that Jeff Bridges' character was the CIA agent.

The confusion about this, even by the Internet Archive, is not too difficult to understand. The film, which also went by the title "The Third Eye" at some point, was de-funded, abandoned, then hashed together in various forms for release. (The two versions I have differ slightly, but not in major ways.) Jeff Bridges even says that he encountered a version which had his character animated into the film at a certain point! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6k49Qf7Ef38) But a viewing on the Internet Archive page, linked to in the plot section, will clearly show Zimmerman being the CIA agent sent in from Washington.

In any case, the description on this page is slightly inaccurate. And if there are no objections, I will change "The Dolphin" in the description to "Leo Zimmerman," which should shore that aspect up. 147.46.57.248 (talk) 07:08, 10 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright status[edit]

I have deleted the link to the illicit hosting of this British film on Internet Archive. Composer Robert O. Ragland did not die until 2012, so UK copyright subsists until the end of 2082 at the earliest (later if any of the script co-writers post-deceased him). As a non-US film still under copyright in its country of origin on 1 January 1996, it is protected in the US for 95 years after publication, so to the end of 2065.
