[edit]Can a lawyer tell me what crime has been committed under the following scenarios:
A Contractor enters into a contract for $1,000 and asks for a deposit of $500. He receives a check for $5,000 from the Contractee and deposits the check without telling the Contractee. The work is completed. What crime has been committed?
Fraud? Theft? Conversion?
Thanks
