Remove image
[edit]The image that User:Qfl247 put up for this guy seems a little unflattering. I'd encourage that it be taken down per WP:MUG. NickCT (talk) 16:49, 23 September 2014 (UTC)
- The guideline WP:MUG is especially intended to prevent disparaging images of living people, which does not apply here. It's not as if the photographer caught him on a bad hair day. Dibblee lived to an old age, and that's what he looked like late in life. I saw him at geological meetings a number of times in the early 1990s, and he was active and alert, but that's what he looked like. It would be nice if a photo of a young Tom Dibblee could be added to the article, but there is no good reason to take down this one. Regards. Plazak (talk) 19:01, 9 March 2017 (UTC)
