Lead[edit]

Hello @Evrik and Cwmhiraeth:! Thank you for creating the article. This is one I deeply appreciate and might myself look into working on at some point in the future. But not right now. So, I thought I'd drop you a suggestion before the DYK. Salt trading through these routes was still going on much later than 1960, these routes or parts of them are likely still used, for something else if not trading salt. But the lead makes it sound like it all stopped with the India-China conflict. That is probably true for India-Tibet but not Nepal-Tibet which is the subject of this article. So, if you can find the sources, could you try and include what happened after 1960 in the lead? I found this, which may be of help. Thanks again, and best regards! • @Usedtobecool: I am not inclined to make changes to the article today. However, please feel free to add your facts at your leisure. --evrik (talk) 16:54, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have added a little more information from that excellent Nepali Times source and have rephrased the lead. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:34, 1 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
