First toy[edit]

If his first toy was a Paddington Bear then he would have at least 16 years old as the bear first appeared in 1958. Good point. Apparently the first stuffed toy wasn't even made until the 70s. I will look into this in the meantime and see if I can get some clarification. Melonbob (talk) 05:46, 31 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I reached out to Hendrik Ball and apparently the AMA process was handled by a visitor to Rowett's home. Ball claims that Rowett confirmed he had a panda toy which squeaked, so perhaps the interviewer misheard or misremembered this as "paddington". It may be a problem citing this as I only have an email as a source. In the meantime, I'll correct the paragraph. Melonbob (talk) 00:11, 1 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
