Sections required[edit]

The article is quite long and should be broken up into sections. I considered keeping the first paragraph as a the lead section and then inserting section headings for:

Background [events leading up to the construction of the depot]
Construction [of the depot and barracks]
Closure and transfer to new site

Article name[edit]

I'm not very keen on "First ..." in the article title. Toodyay Convict Hiring Depot (1851-1852) and Pensioner Guard Barracks (1851-1856) would be more specific, but:

It seems a bit too wordy
