Edit request

[edit]

I'm an OTRS volunteer answering an OTRS ticket. By request, I am writing in behalf of a representative of BrandProtect, representing Intact Financial Corproation. The company desires to make the following changes to this article:

  1. Rename article to 2020 University
  2. Amend the first line to read ‘2020 University is a 104.0 m tall skyscraper located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.’
  3. Remove Image of the AXA Center, and change the header to 2020 University
  4. Completely remove the ‘Other AXA Buildings’ section from the page
  5. Remove the text ‘and currently serves as the Headquarters for AXA Canada which consists of a number of subsidiaries of French-based insurance and banking company AXA.’

For the most part, these are reasonable changes. My comments on each item above:

  1. It's reasonable to rename. Google hits suggest that "2020 University" is the more common name, although "Intact Tower" seems to be another name of the structure. But since Intact Financial is requesting that we don't refer to the building by their name, the request to rename to "2020 University" seems reasonable.
  2. It is reasonable to rephrase the lead sentence to agree with the article name.
  3. Removal of the image isn't justified, and it would likely be restored if removed anyway. However, the caption should reflect the name of the article.
  4. I agree with the removal of "Other AXA buildings" since the context of this article is about the building and not one company. It would be more appropriate to merge the section "Other AXA buildings" into the AXA Canada article.
  5. Regarding the last request, I see no logical reason to remove the text describing the primary tenants, since this provides some context to the article.

Please review. If there is no response in a week or so, I will make most of these changes myself. ~Amatulić (talk) 19:26, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
