Sentences[edit]

Kostov pleaded "not Guilty" and was executed. The other defendants in the same trial pleaded "guilty " and were given prison sentences. This encouraged "guilty" pleas in later trials.

Traicho's execution[edit]

In The First Circle, Aleksander Solzhenitsyn describes Traicho as having been beaten to death in conjunction with Stalin's 70th birthday. Should this be included in the article? Eye.earth (talk) 05:22, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
