Impartiality?

Does description matches definition?
[edit]Dear fellow Wikipedians,
I intended to contribute an article on "Wundverschlussmittel" within the German Wikipedia. "Wundverschlussmittel" refers to substances applied to wounds on trees.
Upon reviewing the English article, I noted the inclusion of paint, which is applied to prevent damage from sunlight and to protect against insects and rodents. I believe these do not align with the given definition: "any substance applied to damaged surfaces of a tree," as these paints are applied to surfaces that are not damaged.
I have uncertainties regarding whether the English term accurately encompasses all the described substances. Additionally, I am encountering difficulties in linking the various language articles through Wikidata due to uncertainty about their equivalence.
Your insights on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely
