Fair use rationale for Image:Tremors2.jpg[edit]

Image:Tremors2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Pre filming section[edit]

I wrote "Tremors 2: Aftershocks began production in 1993 when MCA Universal (feature films division) liked the script. The film was originally planed to be filmed in Australia on a 17 million dollars budget. Unfortunately, due to distributional and promotional cost for a theater release, the feature film division lost interest. The film was later given the green light, by the MCA/Universal home video division, for everything but the 17 million dollar budget and Australian location. Finally, after many actors and technical experts lowering their rates, and several major special effects sequences scrapped, the film was made on a 4 million dollar budget and was released straight-to-video with no theater release." I used http://www.stampede-entertainment.com/wrmkllr/intro.html as a reference since Stampede Entertainment created Tremors I would think that they would be reliable on content related to Tremors. I am still rather new to wikipedia and don't understand why this is not a reliable source. If someone could, in detail, explain the issue I would greatly appreciate it. Fansites in general aren't considered reliable sources because the information they publish isn't coming from anything officially associated with the production. If they provide information as to where their information is coming from, we may be able to utilize that. DonIago (talk) 04:28, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the explanation John Mortimore (talk) 15:36, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome! Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your efforts to improve the article!!! DonIago (talk) 16:05, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
http://www.stampede-entertainment.com/wrmkllr/ is not a fansite, it is a fan page made by the studio that created tremors. Made for fans, not by fans. John Mortimore (talk) 19:26, 25 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I do see that now...I'm not really sure whether I got my wires crossed, or missed something, or what-not, but I guess it would be considered a reliable source. That said, depending on what you add make sure to keep Wikipedia's policy regarding WP:TRIVIA in mind. Cheers, and sorry for any misunderstandings we may have had! Don't worry about it. You just wont to make Wikipedia as reliable as possible and I respect that. John Mortimore (talk) 03:31, 26 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
