Logo image

[edit]

I think we've got a mess with the logo. The pre-existing one, File:AITC New Logo.png, is listed as uploader's own work, with the author being Election Commission of India. The one that there have been attempts to replace it with, File:All India Trinamool Congress logo (3).svg, is listed as VNC200's own work. If that's the case with the new logo, then we need VNC200 to declare their relationship with the party, whether they are a paid editor, and how they have sufficient rights over the image to give it away.

Even with the pre-existing logo, I think we may need a NFCC version at lower resolution, because I have concerns about that licensing tag. Thoughts from other editors? —C.Fred (talk) 17:26, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@C.Fred: A lot of users upload files with improper licenses and attribution. I am willing to bet that both of those users declared their uploads as "Own work" just to avoid an immediate copyright strike. Yue🌙 03:22, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please remove the "Economic liberalism" from idelogy section in the infobox and also remove "centre-right" from the Political position in the infobox. Because none of the sourcs state that the party supports those ideology and political positions. I checked the sources thoroughly, you can also check yourself. Hi @Fylindfotberserk: or @Rourib.2004:. Please look into this issue.--2409:40E0:104B:C570:D9B5:5228:8BE5:F333 (talk) 13:25, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
While these terms are not sourced / original searches at the moment, I've seen some sources in Google that might support the "Economic liberalism" part. Not sure about the "centre right", but the current source as well as others OTI kinda allude to it, but then again it would be WP:OR. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 13:44, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Fylindfotberserk:. Can you please add these two ideology Progressivism (Source) and Social liberalism (Source 2 Source 3). These sources more or less state the party's ideology stand point. And please remove "Economic liberalism" as most sources don't state that party's ideology, having said that social liberals / progressive do adhere to market economics with regulations. We can say they follow mixed economy rather than laissez-faire economic approce. Moreover, post 1991 liberizations most party's do support liberal economic policies to some degree and majority of political party's don't explicitely state them due to vote bank politics.  Done - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:10, 13 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Fylindfotberserk Please change political position from Centre to Centre-left as per as the source [1] Mamata said that she flows some left elements. Imran Rashid Khan (talk) 15:30, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Fylindfotberserk: sorry to disturb once again. Please change the Political position in the infobox. Source Economic Times and other two sources clearly states TMC leans towards left rather than centre. The above sources Aljazeera also states the leader do shares left leaning views. Also progreessive / liberals are in general little left leaning. Hence, Centre-left should added instead of Centre. Thanks--2409:40E0:1009:EC9F:1885:E073:99FE:4AE7 (talk) 17:03, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm.. The political position "centre" has scholarly sources (research journals). Those carry more weight than news reports. You have to build a consensus here. Wait for other users. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 17:34, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Fylindfotberserk: well if "centre" has scholarly sources (research journals) then its fine, please verify whether in those reasearch journals party's support for centrist position is mentioned, proper verification is necessary. Another thing shouldn't we add "Centre-left" too as two news article says the party adhere to centre-left policies too. Is it possible to write centre to centre-left. In centre you add those academic sources & in centre-left you can add news article sources. Thanks--2409:40E0:54:2813:446B:407C:3838:AF8 (talk) 06:06, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @MrMkG: would please change the political position and Centre to Centre-left. With above given sources. But don't remove the existing sources. Thanks--2409:40E0:1022:BB46:3065:4158:FE24:2C9E (talk) 16:14, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
