- I deleted the false claim that it was an entirely new type of material for use in banknotes. The Isle of Man had a polymer banknote between 1983 and 1986 . See Polymer banknote#Timeline of adoptions and withdrawals. Dabbler (talk) 11:04, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
- Deleted the claim that the 2000 lei bill was not seen in circulation, being hoarded by collectors. The reference states absolutely no such thing (rather, it states that the author could not get hold of the bills, because border guards would not allow currency export at that time). By own account (which is of course, not usable on wikipedia), the 2000 bill saw decent circulation in Romania in 2000-2001, and most of the bills that can be found today are thoroughly used. --Xanthar (talk) 17:28, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
