I tried to

add and organize the article better, give it a more concrete feel for readers. Improvements might include a greater list of notable alumni, among other things--Mikerussell 07:30, 23 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Vandalism

I am deleting the witch king of angmar from the notable alumni section, it is fictional and untrue. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.60.53.141 (talk) 21:00, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Alphabetized the notable alumni, and added a hanful of Law alumni to the list. -- 15 June 2006

Crest?

Most schools display the crest at the top of the infobox and the logo near the bottom (see, for example, Marquette University, University of Chicago, Cornell University, University of Notre Dame. Unfortunately, the marketing info at http://www.udmercy.edu/marketing/ seems to be sharply against the crest being used online. The crest is gorgeous, highlights the university's history, and, with the logo, would make a positive addition to the page. Anyone want to contact them about such a usage?--76.237.186.14 17:00, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Added Pics

User:Carptrash had uploaded a couple of photoes he took on McNichols campus that feature an archetectual sculptor Corrado Parducci who did much work in Detroit. I added the two to the page to help portray the campus.--Mikerussell 04:07, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:UDMlogo 150px.jpg

Image:UDMlogo 150px.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:37, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Merge proposal: Institute for North Korean Studies to here

Institute for North Korean Studies is not independently notable, and has been tagged for over 8 years as of questionable WP:NOTABILITY. It does produce a journal that may be notable (has an article, North Korean Review) and as it is thought to be the only research centre focused on NK in the Western world, it seems worth a small section in this article, on it parent university. Notifying those who have looked at itss notability before: K.e.coffman, Piotrus, Fayenatic london, Koreanstudies00, RayAYang. Boleyn (talk) 11:27, 6 November 2016 (UTC)

  • Support merge -- non notable on its own. K.e.coffman (talk) 17:16, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

No objections within seven days and some support - now merging. Boleyn (talk) 17:53, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

Assessment

Needs more sourcing and some of the sources need to be converted to footnotes. Also, ELs belong in the EL section and not inline (see WP:EL). Proper sourcing and expansion of the small history section would make this C class. Would need more expansion to get to B (such as more on the academic programs).
