I am trying to write an article about a govermental, non-profit research institute... Can you explain me why do you see this as "blatant advertising"? VTT is one of the biggest employers in Finland and I suppose its deserves to be featured in Wikipedia. Companies of the same size are also feature here... I really don't understand?
- Sure, VTT definitely deserves an article. It's just the way the article is written that makes it look very much like advertising material. Compare to for instance http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fraunhofer_Society . Also, having inline non-wikified references to Taloustutkimus surbeys with no web links is not really good style here.TorLillqvist (talk) 16:56, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
- Anyway, much of the text in the article seems to be directly copied from VTT's own web pages, like http://www.vtt.fi/vtt/index.jsp?lang=en . If that isn't marketing material, I don't know what is... TorLillqvist (talk) 17:06, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
disambig?
[edit]Why does VTT redir here and not to VTT (disambiguation)?--88.73.41.59 (talk) 14:04, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
technology developed by VTT
[edit]I think there should be a section listing some of the technology developed by VTT. What do you reckon? Azylber (talk) 13:29, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
Removed content
[edit]I've removed a lot of content that were sourced with VTT's own sources only. I also removed these two as I think the sources are not typical media sources used on Wikipedia. But see for yourself and put them back if you disagree. Cheers, Jjanhone (talk) 18:51, 24 February 2022 (UTC)

Written like an ad?
[edit]In April 2021 Wimvdam added a warning tag on this article. This is what has happened since that. At the time the article contained mainly VTT internal references. Yesterday I added translated texts from Finnish Wikipedia and now there are dozens of good quality references used. Can you please check if the warning is still needed? Cheers! Thanks. This reads much better; I removed the warning. Wimvdam (talk) 20:17, 25 February 2022 (UTC)
