This article is about a prototype, not yet a product. It contains little information, all from primary source. Borders on advertising. I suggest merging it into Vestas. TGCP (talk) 16:08, 19 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The bit about Dong's purchase of the V164 is interesting because it's the first commercial installation of the V164 turbine. But I don't believe it being an unusual purchase for Dong tells us anything about the turbine, so I don't believe it's relevant to this article without further information. If it is because of the technical superiority of the turbine and we have a source saying that then it makes sense to me to include it. Otherwise the decision simply doesn't tell us anything about the V164--the topic of this article.

Given the above I'd like to remove that sentence--I simply don't think it adds anything. It feels more like Vestas advertising to me. Possums (talk) 12:43, 3 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, the Samsung unit installed at Fife Energy Park in Scotland in 2013 has the world's largest rotor diameter (171.2m) and worlds largest swept area (22,998m2). See article Methil Offshore Wind Farm.
