[edit]This blog contains much sound-looking historical information; possibly obtained from onetime group member Eva Oplatek. Nevertheless, IMO it is by no means a reliable WP:SOURCE. I have placed it in the External Links section, and flagged information in the main text derived from it for which no other source could be found as {{citation needed}}.
I have tagged as accurate discographic information which I have confirmed by other means. It may never be possible to validate some of the early information, because records may have been lost or destroyed during WW2. Narky Blert (talk) 23:21, 17 February 2016 (UTC)
- One of the sources of information is the family photos and memories of the leader's granddaughter who has written the majority of this text- me, Iris Lindberg. Considerable detective work was done by a Josef Westner who has published an article that I attempted to cite here. Also, I have access to the scrapbook of the daughter of the pianist, which provides information on the South American tour (though is not in English. I remain puzzled as to how to state things I know from my grandmother to be facts, such as the the fact that none of the members were sisters.
- @Iris - you have done excellently well.
- Blogs and personal reminiscences rarely count as reliable sources for Wiki purposes - but, as here, they can sometimes be really good starting points.
- There is more than one meaning for {{citation needed}}. #1 - I don't believe one single word of this. #2 - I am sure this is right, but cannot prove it. Every such tag in this article is type 2, trying to goad other editors into improving it.
- I have no special powers, I'm just an ordinary Wiki editor. I'm in UK. I'd never heard of the Sisters until a couple of months ago, when an Australian friend alerted me to them. I tipped off an American friend, who had never heard of them either. Three new fans.
- If you have other relevant family stories from your Oma – post them here, on this Talk Page. That's one thing Talk Pages are for. Narky Blert (talk) 00:04, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
