Concerning Erazor

[edit]

It was never made apparent at any time what Sonic did to Erazor Djinn's lamp. <BoomTheHedgehog> —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.19.145.37 (talk) 23:25, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

More than one game rule? pt.2

[edit]

Fang is the only character in this list who has appeared in multiple games and the only one who was playable (twice). During his last appearance (Sonic Championship) he was in a relunctant hero role. Should he really be in this list of boss-only characters or should he be moved over to the 'other characters' list with the other playable characters? Also, why is G-Mel, a character who only appeared as a boss over there instead of here?

I think he deserves his own article. He's got a lot of out-of-game information (from Archie) and he's been in multiple games, both playable and enemy. And he's on Sonic Channel. Harley Quinn hyenaholic 00:25, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

More than one game rule?

[edit]

Given the recent edits involving Mephiles and Black Doom, I'm assuming that the only way a character qualifies for their own article is if they've appeared in more than one video game or other form of Sonic media? Because if all it takes is more than one appearance in any of the media, then the Black Arms still qualify for their own article. User:Denjo

I would assume another major role (i.e. StH2 or something, not just a few enemy types reappearing), or a vastly different role in another series(not just the regular changing the comic does). There's no point in pointing out changes between series if the characters are the same, but slightly adapted. Nemu 04:57, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I suppose you're right...again. User:Denjo

A comment from a wikipedia fan. Chaos only appears one game (its in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle doesn't count because it's only in vs. mode, neither does Soinc battle have much of, if any, effect on the storyline), and it has its own article, most of it is just about Chaos's different forms. So why can't Black Doom and Mephilis have their's. Iblis (which no matter happens is probably going to stay in the same article as Mephilis) has multiple forms just like Chaos does. Black Doom actually has more of role in the plot then Chaos does (Shadow wouldn't exist if it wasn't for him), so that should add to him getting his own article. His other form Devil Doom could also provide for info for the article to take up. So really, the only reason it seems why Chaos has it's own article is either because of its popularity or because its other media appearances. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.28.67.168 (talk) 23:38, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Black Arms

[edit]

Guys, if I may make one humble suggestion? Given that there is just as much information regarding the Black Arms as there is regarding GUN, why not put all the Black Arms info-including Black Doom-into a separate article? I hardly think that GUN qualifies for its own article if the Black Arms don't. User:Denjo

I would suggest that GUN be moved into the minor characters for that same reasoning.GrandMasterGalvatron 19:12, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mephiles and Black Doom

[edit]

Okay guys, I understand that you want to make things run more smoothly and condense articles; that's great. But Black Doom and Mephiles the Dark have enough data for their own articles. Mephiles has information on three different villains; he doesn't need to be shoved in here. As for Black Doom, if you have to stick him into an article with other characters, do Black Arms-he belongs in there if anywhere. User:Denjo

I agree completely, Mephiles seems to have enough data to stand on his own, like others have said the fact that he managed to kill Sonic is noteworthy. As for Black Doom if his article is to be merged with another article, the other article should be for the Black Arms, although I think he also supports enough data to be his own article and also he plays an important role in Shadow's life. Unknown Dragon 23:25, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Aside from what you to brought up, which I agree with, Mephiles and Black Doom can hardly be considered "minor" enemies, since Sonic couldn't stop Black Doom, and would've been able to stop Mephiles on his own. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.28.67.168 (talk) 00:02, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Metal Amy?

[edit]

I've never heard of this. Is it an actual cancelled character, or just rumors? RememberMe? 06:28, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Metal Amy? Where does it mention a charcter called Metal Amy? And i'm completely positive that there was absolutely no Metal Amy in any of the games, perhaps it is an Archie or cartoon character?! --Jarvisganon 04:04, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay guys, let me straighten this out. Metal Amy was a possible character to be introduced in the Archie Comics. That plot idea has either been cancelled or has not appeared yet, so there is no actual information on her at this point. If there were, it would be in the comic villains article. User:Denjo

but there might be a ton of new metal caracter's to com in some games, like metal shadow he's on the internet and metal vector, just look it up on google image's.

Maybe but it's still not canon. Metal Amy does not currently exist in any official form. Anywhere. Even if she did come into Archie that's no reason to put her here. Harley Quinn hyenaholic 00:27, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Biolizard, Black Doom, Black Arms, and Mephiles the Dark

[edit]

Biolizard, Black Doom, and Mephiles the Dark(and the two others on this page) should be merged here like the few other one game villains that are already here. Any objections? Nemu 20:47, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes! Black Doom and Mephiles have enough information to qualify for their own articles, particularly Black Doom since he's appeared in two continuities. Mephiles' article contains information from two other entities, and so his qualifies to be alone too. User:Denjo
Yeah, I fully agree with Denjo, Doom and Mephiles are very important and have tons of of info and deserve their own articles; however the Biolizard should probabaly be merged seeing that he only appeared at the very end of SA2. And Doom and Mephiles were main villains throughout the course of the games and didnt just jump in as a last boss. --Jarvisganon 04:02, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Doom can easily be trimmed down to the level of Erazor Djinn in this article. The opening would be removed, the story and abilities could be cut by half, Devil Doom would be cut and merged, and the trivia would be removed. How does playing the same role in two different forms really define anything? If he was to return for a role in a future game, that would be different.
Mephiles doesn't have too much info, and that info can still be trimmed(like half of the powers section is OR). The related beings really don't count as info seeing as they are also separate. Nemu 10:18, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Only Biolizard should be moved there: Mephiles and Black Doom deserve their own articles, they are enough important. Also, if you start putting most characters in a minor character section, a lot of characters lose their importance. Just look at the Dragon Ball minor characters list, with things like Dr. Gero put in the same level as some random hobo that appeared in Dragon Ball.
NO, they are actual characters, and pretty complex ones. I also vote for the separation of :::::Erazor Djinn to another article.
User:Eriorguez
Why? Are they notable outside of their one or two appearances? Have they been in multiple games, or various different medias that drastically change them? No. These characters are plot characters that reside completely in those games. The only arguments you have shown are WP:ILIKEIT, and "because they exist" which goes against WP:NOT. Nemu 16:59, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have to say I agree. They are minor one-game villains, and I kind of wonder why Mephiles deserves an article if Erazor doesn't, as they had about the same amount of role in their respective games and such. I also believe Elise and Vanilla should be merged with minor characters, but that's for another discussion. Mephiles's article is pretty small if you count Iblis and Solaris as different characters, and doesn't have as much important information as you make it out to have. Gurko 17:16, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Chaos's would be pretty small if somebody were to deleted the information on its individual forms. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.28.67.168 (talk) 00:12, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just to let people know, I merged Biolizard. Unless someone can come up with arguments other than what I addressed up there(or if there is some overwhelming push to keep), I'll merge the other two in a few days. Nemu 14:41, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
and eggman nega qualify's for his own he's been in 2 games & the chaotix should have there own page's —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Espio's da man (talkcontribs) 15:51, 16 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Please don't do this! I like the old way!!! 207.74.196.20 19:05, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I assume you're talking about the above. Unless what I stated above happens, they'll be merged. "I like it" is not a good defense. Nemu 19:11, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've added Black Arms due to them also being minor. The article can easily be cut down to a size that fits here easily. It just goes into great detail about that one game, which is unnecessary. Nemu 23:54, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No objections on the Black Arms either... I also realized how crufty that article really was. I think I'll clean up the GUN article to make it less like that. Gurko 08:04, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Mephiles probably got his own article because...I don't know..he killed Sonic? That fact alone makes him more notable than any other villain in this series including Eggman as he showed up and completed in one game what Eggman has been trying to do for the entire series. It may not warrant his own article, but it does warrant a larger section than the rest, if not making him the first entry on the page.GrandMasterGalvatron 12:54, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That does not increase his notability at all, especially because he only killed him in one timeline or however it goes. It certainly doesn't make him more notable than the recurring villain of the series. Also, notability is only one factor(though, a large one) in deciding if a character needs an article. Nemu 17:52, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, the discussion seemed pretty much over, so they're merged. They could use some work, but they're at least good enough for now. Nemu 23:58, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's easy to cut down on the information of important characters to make it LOOK like they only belong in a merger article. Even if Mephiles never comes back, he had a huge role in the game he featured in, and there is a vast amount of official speculation about him and his other forms - Solaris and Iblis. At the very least, an article regarding the Flames of Disaster is warranted. The same goes for Black Doom - he and the Black Arms deserve an article. It's true he's only been in one game but he played a massive part, and it's not unlikely that he will show up in Archie as a more permanent feature. Harley Quinn hyenaholic 19:12, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They have no out of universe information. Without it, they don't require articles. Sole plot summaries are not to be used a subjects of articles (basically a copyright violation). I plan on trimming these way down anyways. TTN 19:15, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

By cutting down on facts just so that it's suitable for the merger article, just so that YOU can be right, you are effectively VANDALISING Wikipedia. Siler has no Out Of Universe info, by your reckoning we should rip his article too. Harley Quinn hyenaholic 19:19, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was right before I cut anything. The quality of the content is what the articles are judged by, not the quantity. They had no possiblity for OOU info, so they were merged. Maybe we should merge Silver; I just never bothered looking into it. TTN 19:22, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Black Doom, Mephiles the Dark/Iblis/Soliaris and Erazor Djin all deserve their own articles because despite Eggman's status as Sonic's archenemy, they're all for more dangerous them he is, and far more evil. Black Doom and Erazor both came closer to killing Sonic then Eggman ever did , Mephiles actually succeeded in that. Aside from the that, Sonic wouldn't have been able to stop Erazor it wasn't for Shahra, whom sacrificed to save him. Sonic wasn't able to stop Black Doom at all, and was completely powerless to do anything when Black Doom brought the Black Comet to earth. Mephiles killed Sonic, and then became Soliaris, and if wasn't stopped he would've consumed all of time and destroyed the universe. Even Erazor and Black Doom only threatened the earth during their appearance (although Black Doom might have attack other planets in the past). Even as Super Sonic, Sonic still needed Super Shadow and Super Silver to help fight Soliaris.

To whoever wrote the part about Erazor Djin, Erazor never made only deal with Sonic. He just said that if Sonic didn't collect the Seven World Rings before the flame ran out "his life was forfeit." He never said that he would remove the flame.

Black Arms, Black Doom, Mephiles, Iblis and Solaris

[edit]

I think that was pointless to fuse them with this. The Black Arms in particular are up for an appearence in the Archie's. So they, and Doom should go back to their own articles. Mephiles, Iblis, and Solaris would be better off all in the same article. And Erazor should have his own too. If you have to cut them down for here, than why bother moving them? Even cut down they're too long for a 'minor characters' area.Three-Tail 01:32, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly. People are only cutting them down so that they can put them in this merger article, so that they can be right. Wikipedia is not a competing ground for brains, it is an encyclopedia. ALL factual information should be used, not just 'just enough to warrant a merger article' Harley Quinn hyenaholic 19:16, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the back-up. And I believe the poinbt of Wikipedia is to expand the articles, not contract them and stuff them in the same box. Three-Tail 03:03, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tails doll suggestion

[edit]

Being a regular on the internet, I've seen a few people (and know them in real life) who actually acknowledge the existance of the Tails Doll internet meme. I only know a few sources for this, but it should be suitable evidence that such a meme exists. As such, it should be mentioned in the biography, even if its only a small sentence. Primekiller 11:01, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Page Removal or Clean-Up

[edit]

First off the fact that this article even exists is ridiculous. A whole bunch of good articles were taken and chopped down and put in here. A whole bunch of information has just been thrown off. For example the Black Arms it says "Other variations exist". Yes, but they should be named.

Second there is hardly a single picture here. Fang is it. I personally think this article should be removed. It's completely pointless. The Black Arms and Black Doom can be fused as a single article, as can Iblis, Solaris and Mephiles. Captain Whisker and Void are Minor Villains and should go back there. And the Egg Golem isn't a villain. It's a robot of Eggman's.

Look at it, seriously. Loads of information has been cut and full fledged articles had to be cut down to be put in here. If you have to do that, don't bother. Then other things just simply shouldn't be here. It looks to me like someone just wanted to demote a bunch of Sonic villains or something.

I propose this article be deleted and the Black Arms and Iblis, Solaris and Mephiles be restored to proper articles.

Now if absolutely nobody wants to do that, then at least clean the page up. Three-Tail 02:56, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

i was extremely disappointed to read a spoiler for the game I'm currently playing. Can someone in this page's community please edit this page to fix this problem?

Fair use rationale for Image:Fang the Sniper gunslinger.jpg

Why info gets removed

[edit]

Every time any info on any of the significant villains shows up in this article, it gets deleted. This is particularly annoying to me since I was the one who put the extra info in one Mephlis and Black Doom. Really, I makes no sense to me. Is there a limit as to who much info the "minor" (Black Doom and Mephiles are better villains any of the enemies with there articles) can have on them? Also, why do some of the images get deleted? What's this?

[edit]

Why is it King Boom Boo, and Egg Golem have pics.? They had extremely minor roles. Villians like Mephiles, Iblis, Solaris, and Black Doom are more deserving than those two. Also, i think Solaris needs it's own article. He's certainly desrving of one since we know so much about him. Mephiles, and Iblis would be sub-sections. A Black Arms article is also in need with Black Doom, and Dooms Eye as subsections. Does anyone agree?Skeletal_SLJCOAAATR_Soul_Striker_of_Vengence (talk) 19:23, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I just put up those images to make the article look better since it was lacking. I'd like those characters to have images as well but they don't have any on the site I found. Sonic X gallery As for the articles the characters are too minor.Fairfieldfencer FFF 19:37, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Meh. I think we could get some good pics. of more major villians. I think we should get a pic. of: Mephiles, Iblis, Black Doom, Whisker, Johnny, Fang, and Biolizard.Skeletal_SLJCOAAATR_Soul_Striker_of_Vengence (talk) 21:29, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yea, Wikipedia frowns on having too many fair-use pics in an article, so we should save the pics for the important characters. Cigraphix (talk) 21:52, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If they had major roles, go ahead, or made multiple appearances like Fang, sure. So perhaps, we stick to: Fang, Mephiles, Black Doom, Whisker, Johnny, and Iblis.
