The Patriots Hold The Most Lombardi Trophies
The Patriots hold the most trophies because they are the first dynasty of the salary cap era. Besides, trophies won by steroid use and referee assistance shouldn't count. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Spartan9199 (talk • contribs) 15:57, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
Super Bowl logo
I just saw a picture of the trophy of the current champions the New Orleans Saints and I noticed that the Super Bowl XLIV logo is engraved on their trophy. Any idea when this started? Night Tracks (talk) 09:48, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
- I just answered my own question that the trophy of the 2008 champions the Pittsburgh Steelers doesn't have the Super Bowl XLIII logo. Night Tracks (talk) 10:13, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
Should there be discussion regarding the fact that more than one of each trophy are made each year? There's the "original", and then there are "official replicas" (although the fact that they're replicas isn't widely announced).
For example, in the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame, they supposedly have on display the three Vince Lombardi trophies they've won. However, they don't tell people that those aren't the actual trophies. The originals are in the Packers Headquarters, the Hall of Fame ones are replicas. If you see all three together, it's easy to tell if you're looking at the originals or the replicas--one of the originals trophies (I don't recall whether it's the Super Bowl I or Super Bowl II trophy) has a large dent on the back side of the football, about three inches around and an inch deep. The replicas, on the other hand, are pristine. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 18.104.22.168 (talk) 18:45, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
