About the anonymous (93.66.30.44) contributions of 22 August 2022
[edit]@93.66.30.44: I reverted your contributions for the following reasons.
About the two sentences:
- “Between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, a foundry was created inside the castle to make cannons, one of these pieces of fire is kept in Lisbon and dates back to 1572.”
- “In the same years the castle became the arsenal of the artillery of the Kingdom of Italy and a foundry was created inside to make bronze cannons, which remained active until 1814.”
(1) The second seems copied from the first one. If you are talking about two different foundries, some clarification is required.
(2) For the first statement, in the referenced article I read only this: “First of all we have established the piece was produced in a foundry of the Duchy of Milan, possibly in this same city or in the near town of Pavia as the inscription present on its base ring could suggest” (p. 49) and “Coming back to the Milanese gun, we hypothesized the name Pavia engraved on its bronze could also mean this piece had been produced to be placed on the bastioned walls of this town but, up to now, the archives have not yet confirmed this supposition” (p. 51). Where is the mention of the Pavia Visconti Castle? The citation does not declare the exact page of the article (this help to understand if the citation is true), neither the author.
(3) For the second statement, again, quote the exact page of the paper where one can find that the “foundry was created inside to make bronze cannons, which remained active until 1814”.
I reverted also the images because: (1) Loggiato image shows no longer the loggiato, just the windows, (2) The other images are out of context. If you want them, add a gallery section at the end of the page.
I would recommend you to open a wikipedia account and come back with your revised proposals. Bg69 (talk) 08:00, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
