Hatnote.

[edit]

This article is at "Wachovia, North Carolina." Hatnotes are only necessary if there's some confusion- if Wachovia redirected here, and Wachovia the bank was at Wachovia (bank), then that'd be fine. But if you got to this article, it was intentional, or via some link. There's no risk of accidentally ending up here and meaning to be at the bank article. Move Performed

[edit]

I would like to make a few notes on why I performed a move. I assumed no controversy, as this article needs cleanup and has not been improved in some time. I would ask that anyone seeking to move back to Wachovia, North Carolina assume that there will be controversy, and use WP:RM to move this page. At the time it was create, all sources indicate that this tract was known as "Wachovia", "Die Wachau", or "the Wachovia Tract". Modern histories have adopted the latter terminology, and most importantly, grouds such as the Moravian Archives have too (see: {http://moravianarchives.org/history/wachovia-map/}). I believe that "Wachovia, North Carolina" was misleading, as it might lead a reader to believe that a place called by that name still exists. I believe my move was supported by WP:NAMINGCRITERIA and WP:COMMONNAME, as well as WP:PRECISE.Cdtew (talk) 19:41, 6 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
