Release date?

[edit]

Reeltime Pictures says this was made in 1988, but this article says 1987. Which is correct? —Josiah Rowe (talkcontribs) 16:16, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Good question. IMDb says 1987, and so does some on-line Who reference sites. The Doctor Who Reference Guide, unusually, gives no date at all. Confusingly you may also see Wartime given a production date in the 1990s in reference to the "2nd edition" version. If Reeltime's official site says 1988 then that must be the correct date, but I vaguely recall hearing about Wartime before McCoy started as the Doctor... but maybe it was just in the planning stages at that point. 23skidoo 16:25, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

K-9 and Company

[edit]

Am I missing something, or does the first ever spin off in 1987 predate K-9 and Company 1981? MartinSFSA (talk) 09:10, 27 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes you are missing something - the key word "independent". K9 and Company was an official BBC spinoff. Wartime was the first ever non BBC spinoff. 62.190.148.115 (talk) 10:10, 20 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
