I believe the song WAS played live

[edit]

I was fortunate to see LZ at the Dortmund Westfalenhalle on 17th June 1980 - the first night of that last tour - and I am convinced that they played Wearing and Tearing. Not only did they play the song, which was completely unknown to the audience, but they played it as the opener! The song ended and there was complete silence, then muted applause, then JP said something like "this is a song called, er, Schwarz Hund" and quickly went into Black dog.

The incident remained a mystery until Coda was released, when my friend and I recognised the track. Can anyone confirm/deny my story? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Roger-england (talkcontribs) 06:51, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not as far as I'm aware. MegX (talk) 07:35, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with MegX, it was Train kept a-rollin that Led Zep played at the start of the 1980 gigs. Although the two are similar. --Bergqvistjl (talk) 18:47, 11 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
