Inclusion Criteria For Famous Former Players

[edit]

How about something like: During or following their time at Welling United they fulfilled one (or more) of the following criteria:

  • Capped at full international level [Steve Finnan, Andy Townsend]
  • Played more than 50 league games in the top division of English or Scottish Football. [Steve Finnan, Andy Townsend, Danny Dichio, Paul Barron, Tony Agana]
  • Made more than 200 appearances in the second tier (or above) of English football. [Steve Finnan, Andy Townsend, Danny Dichio, Tony Agana]
  • Managed within the top Four Tiers of English football for at least five seasons. (Or international equivalent)
  • Have managed an International team at either Full International or U21 level.
  • Have had a successful career as a media football pundit or commentator. [Andy Townsend]

Terry Skiverton does not fulfil these criteria. He made 200+ Football League appearances, but only at 3rd/4th Tier; and has only been a football league manager for less than a year. Ben Greenhalgh was on the list as he appeared on, and won Sky One's show Football's Next Star. He won a professional contract with Inter Milan of Italy. Danny Chapman has only made 90 football league appearances, none in the top two tiers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.205.222.236 (talk) 20:57, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
