Credit where credit is due?

Looks like much of this is from this lecture. Aquadisco (talk) 14:01, 12 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the wording in the article has been that way since March 2004 (diff). It's entirely possible that the lecture was based on this Wikipedia article. The lectures themselves aren't dated, but the file names indicate SUNY – according to this CV, the lecturer has been at SUNY only since 2010 (also see this page; and the PDF itself is timestamped Oct. 2010 – though, granted, the lecture content could be older than that). I'll leave a note for the user who contributed the wording to the article in the first place. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 15:12, 12 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, I wrote that addition off the top of my head in the informal manner that was Wikipedia back in 2004. (I've done jazz radio shows for many years.) For credit where due, the lecture author should clearly credit Wikipedia; do contact them. -- Infrogmation (talk) 16:13, 12 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
