NPOV: "Ambitious" and "aspirational"

[edit]

Have attempted to make the layout a little clearer, and to allow ease of navigation as more information is added. I'm a little reluctant to let labels such as "more ambitious" to stay without a grain of salt. The author seemed somewhat biased, and the value judgements have the potential to offend. Maybe it's seen by some as unnecessary, but I dislike it on principle. Regardless, I've tried to keep the same objective information, and tried to indicate opinions where appropriate. -Skittled 10:23, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Take two: see Wikipedia policy re Neutral Point Of View. On second thoughts, even changes made as above aren't neutral: attributing personality characteristics to peoples' location within a suburb is a little absurd. Skittled 04:20, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rubbish Dumping?

[edit]

"The 'Waterboard' is also often used for illegal rubbish dumping" -- is rubbish dumping as common as this implies? Perhaps better changed to a comment re the fact that it has been used for those purposes in the past, and on the signs now present reminding people of dumping's illegality..? Street names

[edit]

This mightn't belong on the page itself, but some of the history or meaning of many street names in the Hornsby Shire can be found at [1] Skittled 04:20, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ruddock Park

[edit]

An article in The Age dated Nov 22, 2003, titled "In the name of the father", talks of the history of Ruddock Park. Specifically, when Max Ruddock was in parliament, Phillip as a 16 year old boy pointed out a legal impediment to the State Government's desire to industrialise Westleigh, creating a "furore", and preserving the residential nature of Westleigh. Don's Party

[edit]

'Don's Party' was filmed in Westleigh in the 70's, might be worth a mention. Fishygirl98 (talk) 11:36, 28 February 2008 (UTC)Fishygirl98[reply]
