Andy and Larry Wachowski,
[edit]Please don't change Larry's name to Lana without citing reliable sources. The Wiki article on the brothers states that is a rumor, so please cite reliable definitive sources showing a name change. Gtwfan52 (talk) 04:58, 23 September 2012 (UTC)
- I found a reliable source for that change, so Lana it is. Gtwfan52 (talk) 20:24, 23 September 2012 (UTC)
Promotional claims
[edit]This article is a hive of unsourced claims to prowess. They will shortly be removed. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 09:59, 23 September 2012 (UTC)
Promotional claims now removed and article temporarily protected. Other items flagged as needing sources will also be removed after around 30 days if not referenced. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 23:12, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
Further cleanup
[edit]I removed two individual student's names and a referenced bit about a runner up position in a national meet in the debate section, assuming the school article guidelines (WP:WPSCH/AG) for athletic championships apply also to forensics. The guidelines say to omit anything but state or national championships. They also specifically proscribe the naming of any students for any reason, unless they are notable in their own right.
I am questioning the encyclopedic value of the section on rental of facilities to churches. Most school systems rent out use of facilities to local non-profits like youth sports teams. That isn't really noteworthy. Is it because the rentals are to churches that make it noteworthy? I don't see it. Gtwfan52 (talk) 00:57, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
- Section removed as clearly unnecessary trivia. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 01:03, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

Diversity
[edit]Moved from the middle of a several year old conversation and given a header. John from Idegon (talk) 19:39, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
Add more information about the diversity factor of the high school. In 2016, the school was named the second most diverse school in the nation (https://www.niche.com/k12/young-magnet-high-school-chicago-il/). Madisonekern (talk) 18:23, 10 November 2017 (UTC)Madisonekern
- Will reply shortly, Madisonekern. I moved this into its own section. New threads go at the bottom of the page with a header. The easiest way to accomplish this is to use the "new section" (it's called "new topic" in some skins) button. John from Idegon (talk) 19:39, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
- Niche is not a reliable source. I cannot see the relevance of what it says about anything. John from Idegon (talk) 06:50, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
