removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV
[edit]I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:
- This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
- There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
- It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
- In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.
- This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 03:49, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
Using youtube video as a "reference" to a trivial fact
[edit]There have been an effort to add a line to this stub biography mentioning the fact that once, while Serbiá was a member of a boy band, a group of fans grabbed him off-stage. As a reference, a link to a youtube copy of a tv program covering the incident is used.
I fail to see how is this trivial fact relevant enough to be mentions on Xavier Serbiá's biography. Why should we give special weight to this event among many other similar facts that have taken place on his life as a boy band member? What was special about that specific group of fans?
Also, the youtube link to a tv program is a primary source that just shows the fact took place, not that it's worth mentioning. --damiens.rf 17:00, 25 May 2015 (UTC)
- In my opinion you were correct to remove it, it's utterly non-notable. The incident was obviously not a big event in his life, looking at the video he wasn't even worried - it is possible that he instigated it himself. The sentence's sole purpose seems to have been its use as a way of getting a Youtube link into the article. YSSYguy (talk) 14:26, 26 May 2015 (UTC)
