This article is referenced elsewhere on Wikipedia (Newspapers published in the People's Republic of China) and therefore would be useful for anyone wanting more information on it.

One concern noted was that there was little information on Google regarding this publication. This is natural as the publication is in China and Chinese typically use Baidu.com not Google. Surely Wikipedia is not so Western-centric that it takes Google as the only measure of a publication's significance. Wikipedia is for all people, not just the Western world.

The publication is in Chinese (and local minority languages) so the English name is not as often cited as the Chinese name (新疆日报). Searching on Baidu for the Chinese name returned 756,000 results. There is also an entry for this publication on the Chinese-government approved equivilant of Wikipedia, Baidu Baike 百度百科 at baidu.baike.com
