Merger?

[edit]

There's not much difference between this article and The House of Yahweh with regards to content and relevance. Hawkins' notoriety is tied entirely to his church, so his own page, especially a biographical one, is probably not necessary.

People are free to disagree, but there's been a merger tag on this since last year. Instead of cleaning this page, it might be more efficient to merge it with the HOY page, finish cleaning that one, and calling it a day. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shadowflare (talkcontribs) 22:59, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Per the "testimony", let me quote from other Wikipedians (From Talk:The Way International). It is applicable here.Yahnatan 05:40, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not a forum. This page is here for us discuss our article about "The Way," not to discuss personal experiences (which we can't use as a basis for edits, per no original research). Thanks, -Willmcw 23:55, 25 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Come on! "No nukes is good nukes", a bad joke? That's a classic!  :^)

Bible Version

[edit]

Something should be mentioned about the "bible" version that he created. --Trav 08:03, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Uneventful 9-12-06

[edit]

I think that the fact that no war started on this date does deserve to be placed on the article. Any reader can figure it out for themselves, but it still seems relevant. When a prediction does not come to pass that fact ought to be documented next to said prediction. Besides, if we at least state the fact we may not have as many people coming on going "No nookuler war Bufalow Bil!"--Grant the Wise 09:29, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

It would be more relevant if the addition not only mention that the deadline is past, but also Mr. Hawkin's reactions and future goals now that the war hasn't started(if anyone knows that stuff). --PaxNobiscum 14:51, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bible

[edit]

The old quote about their translation of the Bible:

"Hawkins was the primary editor of The Book of Yahweh: The Holy Scriptures, which is the newly translated and restored version of the Bible now in its 10th edition."

This seems biased. "restored" to what? Changed this to:

"Hawkins was the primary editor of The Book of Yahweh: The Holy Scriptures, which is the House of Yahweh's translation of the Bible, now in its 10th edition."

Methinks we can take down the tag that says the article reads like an advertisement. In my opinion, the article seems fair.

Ditto.

I agree. CenozoicEra 23:34, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, count me in. I'm in an agreeable attitude but that may change if the world does end.68.13.191.153 12:40, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unregistered editors

Who are these unregistered clowns that show up around here and make changes without reason. If you don't have a talk page that's yours, you shouldn't be editing articles.--THE FOUNDERS INTENT TALK 20:45, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My parents were duped into following this guy. Total religious zealot and has a compound like David Korsesh. Many people "buy" property from them and when they find out he's a fraud, they loose everything. Women have two bathrooms there - black and white. You have to use black curtains if you are on your period. White if you are not because you are considered pure. Also, they believe in polygamy and some of the members are pedophiles marrying young teenage women 13-18. Beware!

This guy have preached since before '94 that the world was going to end. None of what he has said is completely true, just half-truths. Don't be fool-hearted and following this guy. This is not the solution that you are seeking. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Taindeeswords (talkcontribs) 05:37, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bio

[edit]

Look at the bio. The first words are about the man's brother; this is very inappropriate for a biography. Make a second article, but don't load the bio with facts about Jacob Hawkins.--THE FOUNDERS INTENT TALK 23:40, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to see more about this. The current paragraph is short. I'd love to read what his rationalizations are as to why his "nuclear baby" wasn't born yet again. Goose egg Hawkins gets it wrong again. Maybe he needs to retire his magic helmet because it's not working. 162.40.172.181 (talk) 17:54, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
