OK everybody, this one must be redirected to Yuhanon Qashisho, since malphono was not his name, it means master and teacher, and is used on people with respect. Transliteration and pronunciation

I was just recently working on the translation of this article into Spanish and the following issues arouse from it: 1. What is the correct transliteration and pronunciation of his name? I've seen his name listed in google.com/books as Yuhanun Qashisho. In Spanish, the u would sound like an oo in English, as in the word foot (and not like the u in the word much or but). That would be an issue in the article in English too. At least an IPA notation should be added next to the name, it would help a lot. 2. The article mentions "assyrian language". Wouldn't it be more precise to talk about syriac or turoyo? Did Qashisho write his poems in Syriac? Ctirado (talk) 02:56, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Assyrian?

Its really amazing that you can call Yuhanon for an "Assyrian" nationalist, writer etc etc. The Arameanists claims that he is Aramean, since he wrote many poems about his love to his Aramean nation. But also that would be non-neutral. Therefore, i add "Syriac" instead of "Assyrian" or "Aramean", since Syriac is the most neutral term. Dejwono (talk) 17:35, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
