Merge
[edit]Although I proposed a merge in the other direction, I changed my mind after seeing that AIATSIS favours Yukulta as the language name (and says that Ganggalidda simply means "language"). I'm just moving my old merge proposal comments from the Gangalidda page here for the sake of recording history. Laterthanyouthink (talk) 10:07, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
(heading)Merge proposal
I'm proposing a merge from Yukulta into this article, as the sources seem to indicate that while "Yukulta" is the more common (or perhaps interchangeable) name for the language (Gangalidda or Gangalida are also used), the people are almost invariably referred to as Gangalidda, or (with the Garrwa people) Gangalidda Garawa. See here, here, here, here and AUSTLANG, and use Google for further checking. There does not appear to be a separate group of people called Yukulta, as far as I can see. - Further - actually I just realised, the more common spelling seems to be Gangalidda (which is how I got to this page in the first place, doh!), not Ganggalidda, so actually, a merge and move is necessary, I think. Laterthanyouthink (talk) 08:06, 10 October 2020 (UTC)
