Academic afterlife[edit]

According to the present text of the article Smirnov died in 1984 but gave lectures and continued his researches in 1985 and in 1986. As he was WWII veteran, he could recieve commemorative decoration in 1985 (40th anniversary of the Soviet victory), but database [1] has no such entry proving he died before the date. I suggest to remove unsourced and strange-looking statements about his activity after 1984.--95.24.95.40 (talk) 23:24, 8 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
