Does anybody understand this?

"A third imperative was to expand the reach of the state in the social and political realms, a process that began in 1970 and culminated in the adoption of a new constitution in 1977. By 1976, however, this effort had begun to generate its own inner contradictions, thus paving the way for the resurrection of a Bula Matari ("the rocks breaker one") system. ″"

It expertly summarizes the thematic thrust of the new constitution[edit]

It's an excellent, indeed professionally drafted, overview of the underlying theoretical themes and motives involved, at the time, in drafting of the new constitution. The statement even draws on the well-known Bula Matari model. It needs to remain for serious academic readers to contemplate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 16:22, 1 April 2017 (UTC)

Name of country - use of diæresis[edit]

Defining the country as Zaire implies that it should be pronounced as a single syllable, when it fact it was always two - which is why the country's name was Zaïre.

i is NOT the same thing as ï; the presence of TWO dots above the letter serve a precise phonological purpose. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Random jottings (talkcontribs) 14:10, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
