Avoiding an edit war[edit]

@BD2412: As an uninvolved active admin familiar with disambiguation pages, would you have a look at this please? Please look at this edit and those that follow it, and then @Joefromrandb:'s response at User talk:Joefromrandb#ZZZZ. Thanks, Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 17:33, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. Cheers! BD2412 T 17:46, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly. Fixed. I'm not sure why you needed to seek out a hall monitor to fix something you could have fixed yourself, rather than clinging to the bizarre idea that it's ok to re-add something that you were (twice) shown was wrong because "the red link appears in the other article". As for telling you to fuck off, it was a proper, albeit restrained response. You referred to a necessary edit as "unconstructive", cited a completely irrelevant guideline, and told me not to "swear at you again" when you knew fucking right well I hadn't sworn at you in the first place. I believe it was our beloved Giano who said: "baiting is a dangerous sport when you fail to gauge the size of your prey". Joefromrandb (talk) 18:11, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You could have implemented this solution yourself, which would have been the better course of action. At this point, this is a discourse that you should step away from. BD2412 T 20:46, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree. I don't think that your version is preferable at all but at least it's factually correct. I maintain that removing it was the ideal solution, and therefore "the best course of action", at least when put against the false dichotomy insinuated by your use of the word "better". Incidentally, your changes pointlessly and actually problamatically removed the link I had added to the solitary naked entry on the page, the only reason an entry should exist on a disambiguation page. Perhaps it was hard to see from upon the high horse you mounted to lecture me. Joefromrandb (talk) 21:50, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
