Tanjong Katong MRT station (TE25) is a future underground Mass Rapid Transit station on the Thomson-East Coast Line in Marine Parade, Singapore.[1]

The station will be built underneath the intersection of Tanjong Katong Road South and Meyer Road.

Description

Tanjong Katong MRT station is a fully underground mass rapid transit station with three station access points. Located below Amber Road and Tanjong Katong Road South, the station is near private residential properties such as Aalto and King's Mansion.

History

This station was first announced on 15 August 2014[2] under the working name "Amber". The station was subsequently given its official name of "Tanjong Katong MRT Station" on 21 July 2016 after a public voting exercise to determine the names of Thomson-East Coast Line stations.[3]
