Template:Cycling stage recaps/doc
This is a documentation subpage for Template:Cycling stage recaps. It may contain usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
The cycling stage recaps template is used to make a navigation box for cycling stage races where the stage descriptions are split in one or more articles.
Usage
[edit]{{Cycling stage recaps
|race =
|recap1start =
|recap1end =
|recap2start =
|recap2end =

If this order is used, the parameter names can be omitted; {{Cycling stage recaps|race=Tour de France 2008|recap1start=1|recap1end=11|recap2start=12|recap2end=20}} gives the same results as {{Cycling stage recaps|Tour de France 2008|1|11|12|20}}
Parameter list
[edit]race -
the name of (the article of) the cycling racerecap1start -

The template assumes that the stage description articles have been named in the standard way: the article about stages 1 to 11 of the 2008 Tour de France should be named 2008 Tour de France, Stage 1 to Stage 11. It also assumes that there is an article that lists the teams and cyclists of the race, and that the article is named in the standard way: the list of teams and cyclists of the 2008 Tour de France should be in the article List of teams and cyclists in the 2008 Tour de France.
Examples
[edit]{{Cycling stage recaps|2008 Tour de France|1|11|12|21}}
If a prologue is used, indicate this with a "P", for example
{{Cycling stage recaps|2007 Tour de France|P|10|11|20}}
Extra links
[edit]If extra links are wanted for articles about a specific race then edit the template itself. For example, this will add the link Mountains classification to all articles calling the template with |2013 Tour de France
:
| 2013 Tour de France = [[2013 Tour de France Mountains classification|Mountains classification]]
