Template:DYK reviewing/dated

This template was developed for the special needs of Did you know. It can facilitate categorization and tracking of the nominations, and maintain the reviewing status of the nomination to avoid edit conflicts and unnecessary duplication of effort.

Usage

Once {{subst:DYK reviewing}} is substituted under the ==== Section heading ==== with the nominated article's title, it will substitute the following syntax (shown as it will appear under the title header):

The default |YES}}

When the review is opened, the default |YES}} is in place and it posts the following tag atop the nomination:

This also places the nomination in Category:DYK nominations under review.

A corresponding tag will transclude to Template talk:Did you know under the nominations entry and appear as:

When the reviewer finishes the initial review and posted their opening comments, they should change the default |YES}} to |OPEN}} changing the tags as follows:

Using |no}}, |No}}, or |NO}}

When the reviewer has finished the review, heard sufficient discussion, and rendered a decision accordingly, they should change the parameter switch to |NO}} inviting a DYK administrator to archive the discussion appropriately. This tag removes the nomination from previous categorization, adding it to Category:DYK nominations pending archival. Nomination page:

No tag is transcluded and the nomination no longer appears on the list. The nomination is removed from previous categorization and added to Category:Closed DYK nominations
