1880 Michigan Wolverines football team
[edit]- ... that the 1880 Michigan football team played its only game in a foreign country and at a lacrosse club?

- Nominator has more than 5 DYKs to their credit. They need to review an article.
- Length and timeliness checks out: Assuming article is at 5x now, expansion began 4 edits ago on March 10, 2012. Hook is properly formatted and neutral enough. All images have a copyright license. Article is fully supported by inline citations.
- No plagiarism found in offline sources and that they support the text.
- Hook does not appear to be supported by article text. Alternative hook sought. --LauraHale (talk) 05:32, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
Nominator needs to review an article and propose an alternative hook supported by article text. --LauraHale (talk) 05:32, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
- Reply. QPQ review has been completed: Template:Did you know nominations/La tentation. I've added inline citations that now directly support the hook fact. The game in Toronto was the only game played by the 1880 team; it was played in Toronto (a city in a foreign country); and it was played on the Toronto Lacrosse Club's field. These points are all set forth in the article and supported by inline citations. Cbl62 (talk) 00:08, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
- Article says it was played at a lacrosse club. The lacrosse club could have had other field types. (I can think of a softball facility that space cricket and baseball. I know of a lawn bowls club that has croquet courts.) The article does not mention Canada once, nor does it mention the word foreign. This needs to be made more explicit so the article says what the hook says it says, or an alternative hook needs to be proposed. --LauraHale (talk) 00:53, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
