27 Squadron SAAF
[edit]- ... that 27 Squadron SAAF protected the coast of South West Africa during World War II, operating primarily from Walvis Bay?

- Length, date and hook all check out. It doesn't impact on the hook, which has a credible citation to its name, but what reliability do sources such as this one (a fansite of the SAAF?) and these ones (laudable personal projects, but still...) have? Most of the article is sourced from them, and I do believe this is a mighty problem. Dahn (talk) 22:23, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

- My writing muse is a bit absent lately, but I'll see what I can dig up... - The Bushranger One ping only 17:49, 29 November 2011 (UTC)
- Unfortunatly, if the above sites are a no-go, I think this one will have to be withdrawn - the first one mentioned is associated with the South African Air Force Association, but is still an unofficial site, and while other sources exist, they are mostly offline and unaccessable to me. - The Bushranger One ping only 23:45, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
- But bear in mind it's still an "if". Personally, I'm not convinced that they pass WP:RS, but can't assess if the entire issue is even relevant for the DYK inclusion. I think it is, but I'm delegating the final say. (Also because I may not be around to review this entry fully.) Dahn (talk) 14:57, 2 December 2011 (UTC)
