C. Stanley Ogilvy

[edit]

Created by David Eppstein (talk). Self nominated at 18:40, 15 June 2014 (UTC).

  • Length, date, hook checks out. Off-line ref accepted AGF. However, needs some minor rewrites on some wordings to avoid close paraphrase, [1] --Soman (talk) 20:07, 15 June 2014 (UTC)
    • Really? Did you read through the toolserver link you gave, or just run it, notice that it said something, and decide that it meant there must be a problem? Because the hits I see there are single words, place names, or the titles of his books. What, specifically, do you think is too closely paraphrased? (Additionally, all the refs I used are online, and only some minor ones are paywalled, so what on earth do you mean by "off-line ref"?) —David Eppstein (talk) 20:13, 15 June 2014 (UTC)
  • Good point, with a re-read of the link, there was 1-2 hits which I had missed were book titles. With them removed, no major issue remains. Per 'off-line' I meant that the google book ref supporting the hook is not availible for preview for me. Anyhow, I think it is good to go --Soman (talk) 20:47, 15 June 2014 (UTC)
  • Note: I just moved the icon from the end of Soman's final review to the beginning, so it's more likely to be seen by someone looking to promote the nomination. I have not myself checked anything else in the article or nom. BlueMoonset (talk) 23:49, 7 July 2014 (UTC)
