Felix Doran (slave trader)

  • ... that Dorans Lane in Liverpool is named after Felix Doran, who "seems to cling ghost-like to the area"?
  • Source 7 in the article says "Doran lived in Lord Street and seems to cling ghost-like to the area, giving his name to Dorans Lane." (Dorans Lane leads off Lord Street)

  • : New enough, long enough, hook reasonably interesting. No copyvio evident, AGF on offline hook. A QPQ has been done. Questions: What makes FNs #3 and 6 reliable sources? Eddie891 Talk Work 12:52, 11 September 2021 (UTC)
  • @Eddie891: Hi, thanks for the review. I've switched out ref 6. I think ref 3, slavevoyages.org, is reputable and independent. It possibly looks like the website is user generated content - however it is run by the University of California at Irvine, the University of California at Santa Cruz, Hutchins Center of Harvard University etc. So it is a university project and only university staff/colleagues are allowed to edit the database.
