Gimnazija Mostar
[edit]- ... that Gimnazija Mostar (pictured) was one of the most prestigious schools in Yugoslavia and probably the most renowned one in Bosnia and Herzegovina?
Created by Surtsicna (talk). Self nom at 10:56, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
- ALT1 ... that the integration of Bosniak and Croat students in Gimnazija Mostar (pictured) after the Croat-Bosniak War has been referred to as a "rare social experiment"?
- ALT2 ... that Gimnazija Mostar (pictured) was built in Moorish Revival style due to Austro-Hungarian wish to create an "Islamic architecture of European fantasy"?
I am not sure which hook would do best. Surtsicna (talk) 11:19, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
- The article is long enough (3816 characters). It was new and long enough when nominated. The nominator reviewed another nomination. None of nominated hooks are too long. The image is free, used in article and of proper size. I don't like the original hook because it contains several peacock terms. It sounds like Carlsberg commercial, "probably the best beer in the world". --Antidiskriminator (talk) 10:57, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
- I see what you mean, though it is thoroughly sourced. I think I prefer ALT2 anyway, followed by ALT1. Surtsicna (talk) 23:32, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
- Me too. Its a pity there is no picture in the article of the damaged building because of the last war.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 23:45, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
- I have not given up looking for one yet. I am sure I have taken plenty of photographs of it in 2008. If only I could find one! Surtsicna (talk) 23:56, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
- When you are done reviewing the nomination, please state which of the alternative hooks you think would appeal to readers most. I would appreciate your opinion very much. Surtsicna (talk) 23:59, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
- Of course, thanks. I can not reject any of three proposed hooks, although I agree with you. My favorite is Alt2, then Alt1 and at the end the original one. All three are hooky, properly formatted and short enough. I will try to complete my review tomorrow morning after I read the article one more time.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 00:32, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
- Good to go. My proposal is ALT2. Agf for several offline sources.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 13:13, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
