Hide and Q

[edit]

Marina Sirtis, photographed in 2008

  • ... that because of her absence in "Hide and Q" and other episodes during the first season of Star Trek:The Next Generation, Marina Sirtis (pictured) thought she was being cut from the show?
  • Reviewed: New Mexico lunar sample displays

  • Article size and expansion date are okay. The 5x expansion is true from the point immediately before it (1,277 B / 226 words to 7,336 B / 1272 words), although back in 2006 the article was twice the new size (but full of content that deserved removing). Neutrality, etc is okay. But the primary hook seems tangential to the episode and the article, and the photo of Sirtis is 20 years distant from the episode. Even Counselor Troi would sense that the alt hook is more pertinent to the article. I've verified it against the source via Amazon Look Inside and it's accurate. For the GA review, I would suggest that this material be expanded upon - what were the 'extensive' rewrites beyond just the Q species back story? How was the situation 'subsequently resolved'? How did it prove 'to be a turning point for the series in how scripts were produced'? I realize the Nemecek page on the episode doesn't go beyond this, but hopefully you can find out more elsewhere.
