History of Marrakesh

ALT1:... that Marrakesh was founded because homesick Saharan warriors didn't like living in cities?
ALT2:... that the Almohads razed all the mosques in Marrakesh in 1147 because they had a slight orientation error?

Comment: Originally I inserted this article as the history section of the regular Marrakesh article on October 26. My entire text was moved wholesale by someone else into a separate article on October 28. So not sure what date to request. If Oct. 26, I beg indulgence for "Acts of God". I live in New York City and the past few days has been a little complicated.

I'm okay with the date and size of the expansion, considering that this is not a 100% "new" article but a split from Marrakesh. It does seem somewhat undersourced though, with a couple paragraphs completely lacking sources. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:46, 15 November 2012 (UTC)

All paragraphs have referenced sources (except the lede, which merely summarizes the content of the article). However, if a paragraph takes multiple information from the same sources, I usually include them at the beginning, at their opening summary statements, and the details thereafter refer from there. However, I can see how that can sometimes cause confusion if you're used to references at the end, so I have adjusted it accordingly. Okay, looks good to me now. The lede doesn't need sources, but the general rule of thumb is at least one source per paragraph. I believe citations should also come after the specifics, and not just the opening summary statements, but that'll be up to a GA reviewer. – Muboshgu (talk) 21:51, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
