James A. Doonan
[edit]- ... that James A. Doonan (pictured) purchased the cannons in front of Healy Hall, which date to 1634? Source: "The cannons were a part of Lord Baltimore's expedition to St. Mary's County in 1634" ... "about 1885 Father James A. Doonan, S.J., President of Georgetown College, bought the two cannons for $50" ... "they were placed in their current location in front of Healy" (University Archives)

General: Article is new enough and long enough |

Policy compliance:
- Adequate sourcing: - Find a Grave is not a reliable source; I'm sure another can be found for his burial site. Otherwise fine.
- Neutral:
- Free of copyright violations, plagiarism, and close paraphrasing:
Hook eligibility:
- Cited:
- Interesting:
- Other problems: - How do you feel about saying "Georgetown University's Healy Hall", to give a bit more context?

Overall: Your nomination was more than 7 days after article creation, but it qualifies as 5x expanded. Also, recall that hooks with photographs should say (pictured). Kim Post (talk) 15:17, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Kim Post: I've added a second source for the burial place in addition to the Find a Grave one, which says that he was buried at Georgetown. However, the Find a Grave one is the only source I can find that says he was specifically buried at Georgetown's Jesuit cemetery. Also, I've clarified that Healy Hall is at Georgetown. - I meant clarifying it in the hook, as in:
- ... that James A. Doonan (pictured) purchased the cannons in front of Georgetown University's Healy Hall, which date to 1634?
- But it's not critical. Regarding the cemetery that seems fine by me, so the article should be good to go. Kim Post (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 19:11, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
