- ... that a Royal Air Force officer built a KAVE in New Mexico? Source: https://www.newspapers.com/clip/112921404/southwestern-trip-netted-john-battison/ + https://www.newspapers.com/clip/112921312/kave-tv-station-goes-on-the-air/

- Comment: A rare call sign hook because the call sign is just too good to ignore and has real hooky potential! A previous article here was prodded in 2018, but this was a redirect at the title "KOCT (TV)". Some prose is shared with KVIA-TV and KOAT-TV, but the first subsection contains about 1800 characters RPS of unduplicated material, so this would qualify.

- @Sammi Brie: are we sure the Battisons get sole credit for "building" the station? All the cited source says is that he was "getting the station in operation" when he suffered an injury. theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (she/her) 19:14, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Theleekycauldron: they were the first owners, so I believe this to be appropriate. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 20:03, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
