Moustafa Ali[edit]

  • The article is long enough. It is written from a neutral POV. There are inline citations. There aren't any photos to worry about. The hook is interesting; however, there are no citations for the information in the hook. You will need to put citations at the end of every sentence that supports your hook in the article. Other than that the article looks good. Amgisseman(BYU) (talk) 20:20, 25 May 2016 (UTC)
  • @Amgisseman(BYU): I'm a bit confused. Which sentence used to support the hook is uncited? The relevant sentence starting with "He played rugby union ... " has two citations. ~ RobTalk 20:31, 25 May 2016 (UTC)
  • @BU Rob13: The hook says he played rugby union, which is cited fine. However, you don't mention when he retired which is the second half of your hook. A wikipedia reader might find it more helpful if you include a sentence that says when he retired or put a citation in your lead connected to "former Canadian football defensive back" so that the connection is clear. Also, you should put (CFL) after the first mention of the Canadian Football league so it is clear throughout the article. I hope that helps. Amgisseman(BYU) (talk) 20:40, 25 May 2016 (UTC)
  • @Amgisseman(BYU): Thanks for your response. I don't have an exact year of retirement based on reliable sources because it seems he never "officially" retired. It's more like teams stopped signing him, so he de facto retired. Anyway, I checked the existing sources on the rugby union bit and they note that he's a former CFL player, so I added that information to that section of the article with the existing cites. ~ RobTalk 20:46, 25 May 2016 (UTC)
  • Thanks for making that clarification! I think that the article is ready for DYK now. Amgisseman(BYU) (talk) 20:58, 25 May 2016 (UTC)
