Newlyn Tidal Observatory
- ... that mean sea level observed by the Newlyn Tidal Observatory from 1915 to 1921 defined the reference for height measurement in Great Britain? Source: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-56935097

- @ResonantDistortion: Ooh what an interesting hook, love seeing ones like this. I've confirmed that QPQ is not necessary. Article is new/long enough, is well sourced, and Earwig's is clean. Hook is fascinating and matches hook, although it says 1915 not 1916. The article says 1915, so I'm going to assume you made a typo in the nomination, so I've changed the hook from 1916 to 1915. Everything looks good apart from that, so I'll approve. Well done and thanks for the fascinating DYK! —Panamitsu (talk) 04:07, 5 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Panamitsu: Thank you for the prompt review and I am very happy you liked the DYK! Good spot too on correcting the 1915 year - indeed my typo sorry. ResonantDistortion 07:37, 5 October 2023 (UTC)
- Hi @Panamitsu: - I understand you have completed this review - however I would really welcome your thoughts if the image below could be used for this DYK? ResonantDistortion 09:12, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
- @ResonantDistortion: Yep the image looks good and is free of copyright. Personally I think that the promoter might refrain from using it as it isn't directly an image of the Tidal Observatory, but we'll see. —Panamitsu (talk) 10:01, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
