Shetland sheep

[edit]

Improved to Good Article status by TheMagikCow (talk). Self-nominated at 18:36, 6 June 2015 (UTC).

  • For those of us not familiar with the Shetland, the addition of "different", as in "30 different coat patterns", would really help the reader (plus that's what the source says). After reading your hook, I was humorously picturing a Shetland with 30 coat patterns -- on one animal. Apparently, some of them do occur in combination, but probably not more than a few at a time, and certainly not 30. In any case, is that paragraph solely supported by the cited source? It looks like you may be pointing to another source besides the "RBST Factsheet" to support the rest of the paragraph. Am I missing something? Viriditas (talk) 10:43, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
@Viriditas: Source 14 also supports that statement. Looking back, the hook really looks confusing and funny! I have changed it now. TheMagikCow (talk) 14:52, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
@TheMagikCow: thanks. Please make sure citation 14 appears at the end of that paragraph and the one above it (if it is sourced to the same). Also, please quickly review the article to make sure this problem doesn't occur elsewhere. Don't forget, the hook must be followed by a cite, so you'll need to repeat it here. For more info, see WP:DYNDN. Viriditas (talk) 22:00, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
@TheMagikCow: I believe I've made the necessary adjustments. Please review. Viriditas (talk) 23:12, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
  • Review: (New) Article was promoted to good article status on June 6; (Long enough) Size is currently 13,169 bytes; (Within policy) Article is neutral, cites sources with inline citations (problem fixed per above discussion), and free of close paraphrasing (multiple spot checks revealed no problems). Per the diff, I performed a light copyedit to resolve the inconsistency over the "century" format, but the nom is welcome to reverse these changes provided they maintain a preference for one style or the other, but not both; (Format) Hook is around 60 characters or so; (Content) Hook is interesting, accurate, and cited with an inline citation (fixed per discussion above and corresponding diff in this paragraph); (QPQ) Nominator is exempt from the QPQ requirement. Please consider adding an image to the hook. Thanks. Viriditas (talk) 00:07, 9 June 2015 (UTC)
